Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Director - Engineering Technical Authority to provide enterprise technical leadership for Drug Substance engineering, including Single-Use strategy and infrastructure support. This global role focuses on scalable, compliant engineering across sites, capital projects, and lifecycle management.

Ideal candidates will drive technical direction, partner with senior stakeholders, and evolve the ETA organization to meet evolving industry challenges within Amgen’s network.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Engineering or Master’s/Bachelor’s with leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of people leadership or management experience.
• Strong domain knowledge in Drug Substance process engineering and lifecycle technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise technical leadership for Drug Substance systems and Single-Use strategies.
• Lead cross-site engineering support and capital project execution across the global network.
• Shape front-end planning, project strategy, and technical engagement for major investments.
• Coach and develop engineering leaders, ensuring alignment with standards and regulatory requirements.
