Job summary

Purchasing Power seeks a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead FP&A for a growing retail-focused unit within PROG Holdings. You will shape forecasting, budgeting, and performance insights with a data-driven, AI-enabled mindset.

You will partner with merchandising, operations, technology, and servicing to drive unit economics and strategic decisions, while building scalable FP&A processes and leading a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in FP&A or related roles with team leadership.
• Retail experience and strong unit economics knowledge.
• Ability to translate financial results into operational decisions.
• Excellent communication and executive-ready insight.
• MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting with operational alignment.

Candidates should bring a strong understanding of unit economics, gross margin management, merchandising and assortment strategy, promotional planning, and customer cohort performance.Proven ability to partner closely with business leaders and influence operational decisionsStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers and strategyExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insightComfort operating in high-growth, mid-sized, or dynamic environments with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindsetBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional certification such as CPA or CFA preferredExperience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Workday is importantStrong Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with data tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Snowflake highly valuedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Hands-on, practical use of AI or large-language-model tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to accelerate finance and analytical workExperience piloting or deploying AI- or automation-enabled forecasting, variance analysis, or reporting workflowsA clear point of view on how AI is reshaping the finance function, with a track record of leading adoption by exampleComfort evaluating tools and designing practical, responsible AI workflows a team can rely onAI‑enabled tools are already part of how work gets done across our organization, and their use will continue to expand over time.
