Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. seeks a Sr. Director, Forward Deployed Engineering (US East) to lead enterprise customer engagements across the Eastern United States. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams and drive delivery of agentic AI applications with executive-level impact.

The role requires 12+ years in software/ML, strong leadership, and deep collaboration with Sales and Product to grow strategic accounts.

Qualifications

12+ years of software engineering, applied ML, or AI systems with leadership responsibility.
Experience leading customer-facing technical teams for large enterprise customers.
Executive presence with senior Fortune 500 stakeholders and technical credibility.
Strong foundation in ML or full-stack / distributed systems engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead US East enterprise customer engagements as senior technical and delivery executive.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to support acquisition and expansion.
Build and manage forward-deployed teams of applied scientists and engineers.
Own end-to-end delivery for customer deployments with measurable business impact.
Guide development of production-grade agentic AI applications for enterprises.
Lead senior technical discussions with customer executives and articulate tradeoffs.
