Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Director, Transportation – First/Middle Mile to lead US transportation operations. You will oversee seven Medical Replenishment Centers, cross docks, and manufacturing sites, guiding a ~20-person team and a $200M budget.

You will drive network optimization, vendor negotiations, and policy governance while collaborating with multiple internal teams and carrier partners. Travel ~15% domestically is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field required or preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience in transportation/logistics.
• Proven track record of managing large budgets and cost improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all U.S. first and middle mile transportation operations across sites.
• Lead a team of ~20 transportation professionals and manage a $200M budget.
• Drive routing, capacity planning, service improvements, and cost-to-serve reductions.
• Oversee transportation procurement, carrier sourcing, RFPs, and vendor management.
• Ensure governance, policy compliance, and network-wide excellence.
