Axiom Healthcare of Mount Vernon is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the Mount Vernon, IL facility's Maintenance Department, planning and directing all programs and activities to keep the building safe and comfortable.

The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating services with other departments, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure compliant, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High school education or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance/plant roles.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current standards and laws.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work tactfully with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department and its programs and activities.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility/resident property as necessary.
• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections by government agencies.
• Keep abreast of economic conditions and adjust maintenance services.
• Perform administrative duties, such as forms and reports.
