NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP. is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the operation of substations and meters, and to execute approved programs. This role holds local accountability for SAIFI and ensures programs are delivered to meet local needs and CAPEX priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Electrical operations experience required; substation engineering preferred.
• Prior supervisory/management experience.
• Change management.
• Organizational management.
• Scheduling and planning.
• Knowledge of company, federal, and state policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with budget preparation.
• Knowledge of electric maintenance delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements annual business plan for all areas mentioned above, including O&M and Capital budgets.
• Monitors progress and reallocates resources to ensure goal achievement (Safety, Reliability, and Customer Service).
• Oversees and evaluates work processes; fosters process improvements and innovation.
• Responsible for safe and efficient emergency preparedness and restoration efforts.
• Oversees budgets and cost tracking of O&M and capital expenditures.
• Aligns employee goals with department and corporate objectives.
• Reviews reports documenting performance against goals and requirements.
• Represents the company with stakeholders on state, regional, or national issues.
