Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director of Data Science to lead strategy and execution across drug development data. The role spans clinical trials, omics, imaging, and other biomarkers, driving methodological innovation and data-driven decisions.

You will shape analytical frameworks, collaborate with Biostatistics and Clinical scientists, and mentor a small team in a fast-paced pharma environment. Strong coding and cloud skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative field and 6+ years of academic/industry experience; or Master's with 8+ years in industry.
• Demonstrated mastery in data science and statistical analysis with data from clinical trials or EHRs.
• Strong Python, R, SQL skills and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks).
• Experience leading statistical and ML models on high-dimensional data and in drug development context.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership across DSAA in drug development programs.
• Lead exploratory and confirmatory analyses across diverse data types.
• Develop and implement novel statistical methods and AI/ML approaches.
• Define analytical strategy for trial design, endpoints, and biomarker strategy.
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
