The Role

The Senior Director of Solution Consulting at Veeva is a senior‑level position focused on driving the adoption and growth of Veeva Data Cloud through pre‑sales engagement. This hybrid role combines deep technical data expertise with a consultative, client‑facing approach to support customer engagements, build brand awareness, highlight product differentiation, guide customer data assessments, and demonstrate how Veeva products can create value by identifying new patients, healthcare providers, top‑line revenue opportunities, and bottom‑line efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Subject‑Matter Expertise: Serve as the go‑to expert on Veeva Compass and related APLD data products, articulating the value proposition and addressing customer questions and objections.
• Consultative Selling: Adopt a consultative approach to understand customer needs and design & deliver custom data assessments and product demonstrations that solve critical commercial use cases.
• Pre‑Sales Framework Design: Contribute to the pre‑sales framework, creating standardized processes, methodologies, and analysis templates for a consistent, repeatable, scalable approach.
• Project and Team Management: Manage multiple analytics projects, ensuring on‑time delivery, and direct day‑to‑day activities and priorities of other team members.
• Thought Leadership: Shape market narrative, establish Veeva Compass as an industry authority, and create forward‑looking content through presentations and industry discussions.
• Strategic Contribution: Collect market feedback, share it with the Compass team to influence product roadmap, and support new business development and RFP responses.
• Client Relationship and Pre‑Sales Engagement Management: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborating with account partners and strategists to build and maintain strong relationships at key accounts.

Experience and Qualifications

• General Experience:
  • 12+ years of healthcare data and/or analytics experience.
  • Experience working with commercial teams in life sciences and managing client engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage all levels of client organizations.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of and direct experience with pharmaceutical commercial data sets from vendors such as IQVIA, ICON, and Komodo MapLab.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets using SQL.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Other Skills:
  • Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for bringing new products to market and entrepreneurial energy.
  • Ability to function as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and internal events as needed.
  • Data visualization expertise (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience working with product and/or agile teams.
  • Experience in labs and genomics data.
  • Experience in remittance data.

Base pay: $150,000 - $300,000. The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. Compensation is based on individual qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for compensation beyond base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
