The Role

The Senior Director of Solution Consulting at Veeva is a senior‑level position focused on driving the adoption and growth of Veeva Data Cloud through pre‑sales engagement. This hybrid role combines deep technical data expertise with a consultative, client‑facing approach. You will support customer engagements in pre‑sales: building brand awareness, highlighting product differentiation, guiding data assessments, and demonstrating how our products drive value by discovering patients, healthcare providers, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Subject‑Matter Expertise: Serve as the go‑to expert on Veeva Compass, focusing on APLD data products: Compass Patient, Pathway, and Data Connector. Articulate the value proposition and address customer questions and objections.
• Consultative Selling: Adopt a consultative approach, working directly with customers to understand their business needs and therapeutic area dynamics; design and deliver custom data assessments and product demonstrations that precisely demonstrate how Compass solves critical commercial use cases.
• Pre‑Sales Framework Design: Contribute to standardized processes, methodologies, and analysis templates to create a consistent, repeatable, and scalable approach for all customer engagements.
• Project and Team Management: Manage multiple analytics projects, ensuring on‑time delivery; direct day‑to‑day activities and priorities of other team members.
• Thought Leadership: Serve as a key thought leader for Veeva Compass, shaping the market narrative and establishing our brand as an authority; educate the industry through customer‑facing discussions, presentations, and forward‑looking content.
• Strategic Contribution: Collect market feedback and share it with the Compass team to influence the product roadmap; contribute to new business development and assist Account Partners in responding to RFPs.
• Client Relationship and Pre‑Sales Engagement Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, working alongside account partners and strategists to build and maintain strong relationships at key accounts.

Qualifications

• General Experience: 12+ years of healthcare data and/or analytics experience; experience working with commercial teams in life sciences and managing client engagements; demonstrated ability to engage all levels of client organizations.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial data sets (IQVIA, ICON, Komodo MapLab); proficiency in SQL; project management tools (Jira, Confluence); data visualization expertise (Tableau, Power BI); experience working with product and/or agile teams; labs and genomics data; remittance data.
• Other Skills: Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and presentation skills; passion for bringing new products to market with entrepreneurial energy; ability to function as a trusted advisor; willingness to travel for customer meetings and internal events.

Compensation

• Base pay: $150,000 - $300,000
• Salary range listed to comply with local regulations; actual may vary within the range; position may also be eligible for variable or stock bonuses.
