Job summary

Harvard Business School is seeking a Sr. Director to drive technology and data strategy across the AE&D team, ensuring alignment with HBS and Harvard-wide technology while unlocking alumni data value through AI, ML, and analytics.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, oversee data governance, and partner with IT to deliver scalable tools and processes that enhance outreach, engagement, and philanthropic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• At least 5 years in an IT leadership role and 10 years’ information technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives AE&D’s digital business transformation, prioritizing technology investments and reshaping processes to be digitally native, scalable, and more effective.
• Champion the use of data, analytics, and AI to enhance decision-making and personalize alumni engagement.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage data and emerging capabilities, including AI/ML, across systems to improve efficiency and impact.
• Strengthen coordination between AE&D and HBS IT on strategic planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to align technology services with organizational goals.
• Provide strategic stewardship of alumni data and govern access and use across AMD.
