Job description

The Sr. Director, Danaher Business Systems Leader (DBSL), Global Operations is part of the Global Operations Leadership team within Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. This position reports to the SVP of Global Operations.

The Sr. Director, DBSL is responsible for driving global DBS capability and continuous improvement for Bec Dx Global Operations functions, including innovation, growth, and Lean. The role partners with the Global Operations leadership team to develop long- and short-term DBS strategies supporting business growth through processes like Strategic Innovation Review, Launch Excellence, Policy Deployment, and sustaining Lean Manufacturing.

This individual contributor role requires strong influencing skills and is based onsite in Chaska, Minnesota.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Implement Danaher Innovation, Growth, and Lean Playbooks across Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Global Operations to assess organizational skills and capabilities.
• Develop DBS Road Map and Action plan to enhance organizational maturity and build competitive advantages, while increasing DBS awareness, engagement, and capability.
• Implement and sustain Danaher Innovation, Growth, and Lean processes and tools, including Strategic Innovation Review, Product Planning Group, Strategic Commercial Review, and Policy Deployment, ensuring accountability and sustainability of Lean Manufacturing.
• Partner with Danaher and the BecDx DBSL office to craft DBS strategies that meet business needs and promote continuous improvement.
• Provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching, and facilitate additional training sessions as needed.
• Lead in VPM installation, Kaizen events, PSPs, and Daily Management reviews as appropriate.
• Ensure successful Kaizen events by planning, executing, and sustaining them in alignment with PD and Daily Management processes.
• Diagnose workflow impediments and wastes, advising on DBS tools to eliminate them.
• Benchmark internally and externally, incorporating best practices into DBS.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• B.S. in Engineering or a Scientific field; 20+ years of experience in Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain, or a master's degree with 18+ years of experience.
• Experience managing a manufacturing plant or site is required.
• Extensive experience as a DBS practitioner.
• Strong project management and process improvement skills.
• Ability to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally.
• Proven ability to lead through influence.
• Experience presenting to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial, Marketing, Service, or R&D roles.
• Demonstrated passion for DBS.
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment.
