Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate and Foundations Relations to lead a high-impact CFR program and drive seven- and eight-figure partnerships. Reporting to the Senior VP of Development, you will oversee a team of fundraisers and work with board and foundation leadership to expand the CFR pipeline.

You will guide strategy, stewardship, and engagement for top partners, leveraging Salesforce to measure success and inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated & extensive experience in corporate and foundation fundraising, including a minimum of eight years in a leadership and managerial position.
• Track record of building relationships with corporate and foundation CSR leadership and C-suite executives, closing partnerships of $1M+.
• Deep understanding of CFR fundraising programs and high-level partner strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with an ability to develop and maintain long-term, productive relationships internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CFR team responsible for corporate and foundation partnerships; personally manage top $1M+ partners and develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Manage the execution of CFR strategy to support the Obama Presidential Center, Foundation programs and initiatives.
• Develop strong partnerships with select board members, CEO, and senior leadership; provide support and preparation for CFR engagement.
• Collaborate across departments to share best practices and coordinate partner cultivation, engagement and grants management.
• Build a culture of Salesforce usage to track metrics and improve practices.
• Ensure creation and distribution of fundraising collateral, proposals and briefings.
• Supervise and develop a team of five professionals.
• Other duties as assigned.
