You’ll also collaborate across Finance on cross-functional strategic projects that shape the future of the organization. While this is currently an individual contributor role, there is strong potential to build and lead a small team as the function evolves and scales.

We are flexible with geographic location—the ideal candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or from our Bethesda, MD or Durham, NC offices.

Primary Duties:

  • Target and evaluate potential acquisitions and/or strategic partnerships based on market positioning and fit with long-term company strategy
  • Construct financial projections models and valuation analyses

Lead diligence, coordination, and execution of M&A and/or strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders:

  • Communicate status updates and key decision points to executive leadership
  • Conduct build / buy / partner analyses and assist in capital allocation decisions
  • Negotiate definitive agreements, term sheets, and letters of intent
  • Provide support and partnership on integration planning

Additional Duties:

  • Drive capital planning strategy, including the evaluation of capital alternatives (debt and equity) to meet business needs over time, partnering with executive leadership and external partners as needed, and executing on strategic plans
  • Provide partnership on additional strategic Finance team projects (including support for investor relations and internal controls)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, finance, economics, or other related field
  • 12+ years of relevant, progressive working experience in investment banking, corporate M&A, or other finance-related role
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

  • Value-based Care experience a plus
  • Strong quantitative and analytic modeling experience, skills, and references
  • Strong relationship building / influencing skillset, especially in regards to influencing executive leadership and representing the company with external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and proactive in raising questions around prioritization and potential blockers to drive assigned tasks forward
  • Self-starter who is able to take initiative and ownership, with demonstrated success managing multiple projects
  • Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems with a high level of autonomy
  • Collaborative team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated to produce work that meets high standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
