Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior finance transformation leader to own and modernize Record to Report across global functions. You will sponsor the finance technology stack, drive ERP enhancements, and lead AI-driven automation initiatives to optimize close, consolidation, and statutory reporting.

The role requires deep ERP/data architecture expertise, executive communication, and a track record of scalable, tech-enabled finance solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial systems, or finance transformation, with a strong background in R2R processes.
• Deep expertise in enterprise-level ERP systems and accounting data architecture.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial needs into scalable system solutions.
• Exceptional executive communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
• Demonstrated passion for emerging technologies, specifically AI and machine learning, within finance and accounting.
• Track record of designing and implementing process improvements that reduced manual effort and improved accuracy.
• BA/BS degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related subject area, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
• Robust experience with SOX audit framework.
• First-hand experience implementing agentic automation and intelligent workflows within Finance.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills using structured frameworks to dissect complex operational failures and present technical roadmaps.
• Combination of prior management or technology consulting experience focused on transformation and hands-on Finance Operations experience is a plus.
• Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Redesign end-to-end R2R cycles including close, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
• Guide cross-functional teams through transitions and transform workforce capabilities for a modern digital finance organization.
• Own the accounting ERP system and define its strategic vision, architecture, data integrity, and operational scale.
• Partner with IT to manage, prioritize, and resolve critical ERP production issues.
• Lead AI and automation initiatives to modernize accounting workflows.
• Drive alignment and influence decisions across Accounting, Finance, Engineering, and Operations.
• Identify and deploy high-impact AI/agent use cases across Controllership.
• Align initiatives across Global Process Owners, cross-functional partners, and technology teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across Tax, Treasury, Legal, and M&A.
• Lead strategic projects within Global Accounting and present facts to resolve decision bottlenecks.
• Liaise between Accounting and the Digital Enterprise Transformation team to define requirements and support design decisions.
• Transform complex project updates and accounting data into executive narratives and presentations.
