Position Description

This position will be based onsite in Millersport, OH and will oversee new development, design, entitlement/permitting, and all aspects of construction. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and teams as well as ensuring all projects are in alignment with strategic corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of construction including master planning, pre‑construction, design, permitting, entitlements, competitive bidding, team selection, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Create and manage project budgets; establish monthly forecasts and variances.
• Act as a thought leader and coordinate internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage direct reports and third‑party project management resources; track staffing utilization.
• Execute campus‑wide development projects from concept through commissioning; prepare monthly/quarterly reports.
• Drive day‑to‑day construction decisions to conclusion; QA/QC work products for accuracy.
• Ensure new data center spaces comply with applicable requirements (BOD, specifications, code, lease, etc.).
• Create and manage RFPs for capital projects and customer builds; establish project budgets and submit approval packages.
• Support sales in customer engagement and lease fulfillment; manage delivery according to leases.
• Partner with Construction Cost & Finance to produce monthly project forecasts and perform variance analysis.
• Manage vendor/contractor qualification and relationships; oversee project authorizations for contractors and vendors.
• Review monthly billing; audit against budget; confirm substantiation.
• Document lessons learned and integrate continuous improvement.
• Coordinate design criteria and construction with Operations for maintenance of existing facilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 to 12 years of experience in a management role; 12 to 15 preferred.
• Complex and technical construction experience required.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project or P6.
• Travel required: 10‑30% (may increase over time).

Physical Demands

The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing; occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
