Director & Managing Counsel for Compensation and Benefits to lead all legal matters related to health and welfare, retirement plans, executive compensation, and ERISA governance across Walgreens. You will partner with HR, Total Rewards, Labor Relations, and external vendors to design compliant programs, mitigate risk, and provide strategic guidance on complex compensation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois bar membership or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of legal work experience within a corporation and/or private law practice.
• 5+ years of experience providing legal advice to senior business leaders.
• Experience partnering with HR, Total Rewards, and leadership on complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and implements legal strategy to support long-term business goals.
• Serve as senior legal leader and primary contact on all legal matters for the division or business unit.
• Advise top division executives on a broad range of legal issues to ensure consistency of approach.
• Collaborate with legal resources to optimize service and mitigate risk for Walgreens.
