Job summary

National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) is seeking a Senior Director to oversee the Community Development Fund (CDF). The role leads lending, business development, and staff while serving as a key external representative to funders and partners.

Responsibilities include portfolio oversight, strategic planning, and ensuring impact in low- to moderate-income communities. Strong leadership and a commitment to economic inclusion are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in community development finance or related field.
• 5+ years in a management role with direct supervision.
• Deep knowledge of the CDFI ecosystem and certification requirements.
• Proven track record in business development, lending and portfolio management.
• Strong financial acumen including credit analysis and loan structuring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; commitment to inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the CDF lending pipeline through outreach and partnerships.
• Manage relationships with community partners, funders, and investors.
• Represent the CDF externally at events and conferences.
• Oversee loan origination, underwriting, and credit decisions with risk controls.
• Monitor portfolio health and ensure compliance with policies.
• Directly supervise staff and develop a high-performance team.
• Drive organizational performance and strategic planning with leadership.
