Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in a communications role, including support for C-suite or executives
• Proven track record building executive visibility programs: speaking engagements, bylines, media placements
• Superior writing ability in journalistic style for corporate external publications
• Established media relationships and sound judgment on media strategy, including crisis
• Experience developing organization-wide messaging across departments and audiences
• Fluency with AI tools to accelerate the communication cycle and draft/iterate messaging
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows that scale a small communications function
• Excellent interpersonal skills with media, executives, employees, and community
• Entrepreneurial mindset with desire to impact society

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s communications strategy to enhance brand and reputation
• Drive executive visibility and thought leadership for the CEO and leadership team
• Develop and maintain core messaging framework linking all external communications
• Prepare executives for high-stakes media engagements and public appearances
• Oversee media relations, press releases, statements, and rapid media responses
• Mentor and lead communications staff and coordinate with external PR consultants
• Align internal communications with strategy while reviewing material for consistency
