Smith Hanley is seeking a Senior Director/Director, Commercial/Business Analytics & Insights for a PHARMA client in the Greater Boston area. The role partners with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Business Development to drive data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will lead analytics, reporting and market research while ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• 10–12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in the U.S.
• Strong background in business analytics, insights, market research and CI.
• Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (CRM, claims, sales); SQL/Python a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel, data visualization, and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic insights and serve as a problem-solving partner for commercial and marketing teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
• Lead secondary data analysis and market research to generate actionable recommendations.
• Oversee reporting processes related to product launches and commercial performance.
• Ensure data availability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external vendors
