Alkermes seeks a Director of Core & Cloud Infrastructure to shape the strategy, modernization, and day-to-day health of the company’s core infrastructure and cloud operations. This senior leadership role owns platforms, partners, roadmaps, and the operating model to keep the business running securely and at scale.

The position is based in Waltham, MA with a hybrid schedule—three days in the office—and leads a team of four direct reports plus a managed service provider model of about 50

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive infrastructure and cloud operations experience, with leadership responsibility in enterprise environments.
• Strong background leading infrastructure engineering, solution delivery, and technology operations teams.
• Experience managing vendors, cloud providers, MSPs, and complex global environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure strategy, roadmaps, standards, and investment priorities across core platforms and cloud operations.
• Oversee compute, virtualization, operating systems, storage, backup, networking, monitoring, patching, and tooling.
• Drive modernization to improve reliability, resilience, security, and cost discipline.
• Manage transition of new platforms and cloud services into sustainable operations with clear ownership and controls.
• Ensure service reliability, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and major incident management.
