Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Research & Development to guide late-stage discovery molecule evaluations and cross-functional transitions. You will provide clinical input for in-licensing and acquisition due diligence, oversee clinical execution, and shape development planning post-Late Lead Optimization, while staying current on scientific and regulatory developments.

Remote work with ~20% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD with 7+ years in biotech/pharma clinical development.
• Experience with small molecules and biologics.
• Global regulatory knowledge (FDA, EMA, PMDA).

Role: Senior Director, Clinical Research & Development, supporting external molecule evaluations and cross-functional transitions in late-stage discovery.

Responsibilities: provide clinical input for in-licensing and acquisition due diligence, contribute to clinical development planning of molecules post-Late Lead Optimization, oversee clinical execution, and stay informed on scientific and regulatory developments.

Qualifications: MD/PhD/PharmD with 7+ years in biotech/pharma clinical development, including experience with small molecules and biologics, and global regulatory knowledge (FDA, EMA, PMDA).

Preferred: expertise in NDA/MAA submissions, leadership of Phase 1-2a programs, and experience with drug-device combinations.

High-Value: focus on rare diseases, late-stage development, cross-functional collaboration, and remote work with occasional travel (~20%).
