Job summary

Carbon Mapper, Inc. invites a seasoned Director of Communications & Marketing to lead global communications strategy and brand.

You will shape audience-targeted storytelling, guide content across press, blogs, and op-eds, and drive engagement with policymakers, industry, and funders. This senior role focuses on amplifying Carbon Mapper’s data and insights to catalyze climate action, with a remote-first, full-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in communications/marketing roles, preferably in environmental or mission-driven orgs.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills for technical and public audiences.
• Strong understanding of climate change, methane, and emissions data is a plus.
• Experience with digital content strategies across social, email, and web.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive global communications and marketing strategy.
• Own brand positioning, audience strategy, and product marketing for data and technology.
• Drive narrative, thought leadership, and content across platforms including press and blogs.
• Coordinate with external partners and spokespeople to maximize media opportunities.
• Lead global media relations and high-impact campaigns, including events and webinars.
