Job summary

Carbon180 is seeking a Senior Managing Communications Associate to turn policy, science, and program knowledge into accessible content across blogs, newsletters, social, web, and video. You’ll own channels end to end, drive a public education push on carbon removal, and support fundraising by telling impact stories to donors.

Qualifications

• Six to ten years of experience in communications, marketing, content production, journalism, or advocacy.
• Strong writing capabilities across formats (blogs, emails, social posts, fundraising content).
• Ability to analyze trends, develop strategies, and guide policy or program stakeholders.
• Proficiency with social media management and performance data; comfort with email marketing and CRM platforms.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice (DEIBJ).
• Experience translating complex topics for diverse audiences and representing teams in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead content production and editorial pipelines across blogs, newsletters, and social channels.
• Manage media relations with external PR partners and coordinate spokespeople.
• Develop donor communications, campaigns, and fundraising collateral.
• Lead public education campaigns, defining measures of success and tracking results.
• Own digital channel strategy, SEO/AI-generated content, and website updates.
• Analyze landscape and audience to inform priorities and improve impact.
