The New York City Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Director to lead Maspeth Central Operations. You will provide executive direction over Highway Signs, Street Furniture, Pavement Markings, and related programs citywide.

You will manage budgets, staff, and performance, collaborate with planning, engineering and policy units on capital projects and safety initiatives, and coordinate emergency response operations when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in traffic flow theory or related field.
• Two-year master's degree in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or related area with three years experience.
• Equivalent education/experience with at least two years in administrative capacity, including US experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide executive leadership and administrative oversight for Maspeth Central Operations.
• Direct planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of operational programs and maintenance activities.
• Manage the unit's budget, staffing, resources, and performance indicators; prepare and review management reports.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, construction, and policy units on Capital Projects, SIPs, Vision Zero, and mobility initiatives; ensure compliance with plans, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response operations and remain on 24-hour call for incidents affecting traffic control and transportation infrastructure.

Formation

Bachelor's degree + five years' experience

Master's degree in transportation planning/engineering

Education/experience equivalent with admin/US experience
