Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) is seeking an Assistant Director of Career Services to lead the Career Services Team’s daily operations and supervise Career Specialists. You will design pathways that turn college experiences into professional opportunities and work with the College Success office to align development plans for scholars from entry to graduation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• 2+ years advising, coaching, or supporting college students.
• Experience supervising staff or leading teams.
• Experience coordinating cross‑department programs for student success.
• Strong data analysis and ability to measure program outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and oversee daily operations of the Career Services Team.
• Directly supervise, coach, and develop Career Specialists.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote economic mobility through job training and career readiness.
• Oversee design and delivery of tailored support and workshops for scholars.
• Collaborate with the College Success office to create structured development plans for scholars from entry to graduation.
• Co-manage internship programs with the Career Placement Coordinator and oversee related logistics.
• Use data to assess program effectiveness, monitor goals, and scale operations.
• Build partnerships with internal teams and external organizations to expand opportunities for scholars.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
