Job summary

Alpha Omega is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development – USDA to lead initiatives in the Federal sector from identification to win, with an emphasis on USDA opportunities. The role is Hybrid; work location is Vienna, VA.

Responsibilities include qualifying leads, building a robust USDA pipeline, managing client relationships, and guiding proposals with strategic input to win net new business. Strong BD, federal process knowledge, and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development within the Federal sector, with a focus on USDA.
  • Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and capturing net new opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of Federal procurement processes, including familiarity with USDA procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Director, Business Development to join our team, specializing in identifying and qualifying opportunities within the Federal sector, with expertise within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shepherding new opportunities from identification to win. This individual will have experience with the front end of the BD process (networking, attending events, etc) through to putting together a winning team, red team reviews, and finally winning new work.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $150,000 - $xxx. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
