Job summary

Lilly is constructing a new GMP manufacturing facility in Goochland County, Virginia. We are seeking a Senior Director, Process Engineering & Automation to lead process engineering, automation, and controls for startup and ongoing operations across monoclonal antibodies, bioconjugates, and aseptic drug products.

You will provide strategic and technical leadership, drive safety, quality, and regulatory alignment, and develop a high-performing team capable of sustaining long-term manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years leading process engineering and/or automation teams in pharma/biopharma.
Experience with biologics manufacturing and cGMP requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead process engineering, automation, and process controls for startup and long-term operations.
Establish robust process control strategies and automation frameworks for biologics and new modalities.
Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and data integrity requirements.
Partner with facilities and corporate teams on capital projects and governance.
