About the Role
Pagaya is powering the future of financial services. We partner with leading lenders, banks, and fintechs to unlock smarter, more inclusive credit access using machine learning and real-time decisioning.
As our Senior Director, Auto Growth, you will own the strategy and execution for expanding our footprint within the auto asset class. Acting as an elite, high-impact Individual Contributor, you will lead new partner development efforts, landing tier-one relationships with OEMs, banks, and large auto dealer networks.
This role requires a unique blend of enterprise sales and cross-functional leadership. You will be the driving force behind our auto expansion, leveraging an AI-forward approach to transform how auto financing is originated, structured, and approved.
Responsibilities
- Drive Auto Revenue Growth: Act as the strategic powerhouse for our Auto asset class, owning the end-to-end sales cycle to sell our AI-driven solutions to banks, auto dealers, and OEMs.
- Lead New Partner Development: Define and execute the growth strategy for the Auto asset class from the ground up, identifying whitespace opportunities and scaling our market presence.
- Build Executive Relationships: Establish deep, trusted relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers across auto finance, enterprise financial services, and OEMs.
- Execute Complex Deals: Drive deal origination, structuring, and execution. You can think big on strategy while rolling up your sleeves to personally close complex, high-value deals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner deeply with internal stakeholders across Risk, Tech, Product, Partnerships, Legal, and Data to ensure seamless onboarding and alignment on new auto products and partner integrations.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor auto industry trends, competitor moves, and regulatory shifts - using these insights to guide our internal product roadmap and market positioning.
- Industry Evangelism: Serve as a thought leader and evangelist for Pagaya at automotive and fintech industry events.
Requirements
- Industry Expertise: 12+ years in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales, with deep, specialized experience in auto finance, auto lending, or auto-focused fintech.
- Target Audience Network: A proven track record of successfully selling to and partnering with consumer banks, auto dealers, and OEMs, backed by a strong rolodex of industry relationships.
- Elite IC & Builder Mindset: Highly self-motivated Individual Contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a self-starter who doesn't need a large team to execute complex go-to-market strategies and exceed revenue targets.
- AI & Tech Fluency: Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and data-driven product models, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical value propositions to non-technical business leaders.
- Cross-Functional Navigator: Highly skilled in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving legal, data, product, risk, and compliance teams.
- Executive Presence: Confident communicator, fierce negotiator, and relationship builder at the executive level.
- Bonus: Experience with structured finance, asset-backed securities, or working directly with product-led growth models in the automotive space.
