Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company seeks an experienced attorney to join the Legal team supporting the Infectious Disease and Vaccines portfolio. The role focuses on alliance management, post-execution support, and complex R&D and commercial transactions across multiple geographies.

The candidate will interact with Regulatory Legal, IP, Compliance and other functions, delivering strategic guidance while managing risk in a fast-growing therapeutic area.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and licensed to practice law in at least one US state.
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience related to drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated transactions.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization or visas.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-execution license, collaboration, M&A and other agreement issues for Lilly's infectious disease and vaccines portfolio, including governance, milestones/royalties, reporting obligations, dispute resolution, termination.
• Prepare, review and negotiate a wide variety of complex R&D and commercial agreements for infectious disease and vaccine programs, including BARDA-related contracting and CRADAs.
• Provide general legal and contract support for Lilly Research Labs and cross-functional projects.
