Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center seeks a Senior Director of Data and AI to translate clinical, research, and business priorities into scalable AI and data-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes and oncology innovation.

You will oversee AI capabilities across clinical care and research, including decision support, trials and data platforms, while leading Cancer Registry and data functions. Strong leadership and collaboration with external partners are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics, Health/Clinical Informatics, Data Science, CS, Business Analytics, Computational Biology, or related field.
• PhD preferred in clinical, computational, or life sciences or MBA with quantitative background.

Responsibilities

• Understand healthcare data environments, governance, HIPAA compliance, and ethical AI deployment.
• Familiar with clinical/research workflows and EHR systems (e.g., Epic).
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Python/R and cloud data platforms and data-sharing frameworks.
• Bridge clinical, technical, and business needs into actionable AI strategies and data products.
• Drive data commercialization, IP strategy, and partnerships with pharma/biotech/tech.
