Alexander Chapman Ltd is seeking a senior accounting advisory professional for a leading investment bank. You will work with corporate clients, financial sponsors and senior finance executives on complex transactions, technical accounting matters, and reporting initiatives.

You will lead engagements, advise on buy-side/sell-side accounting, and help improve close processes, controls, and junior staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license or internationally recognized equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in transaction advisory, technical accounting, accounting advisory, or corporate controllership.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience presenting complex accounting matters to senior finance executives.
• Ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead accounting advisory engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, and other complex corporate transactions.
• Advise clients on technical accounting matters, purchase accounting, financial reporting, carve-outs, and transaction-related disclosures.
• Partner with CFOs, Controllers, private equity sponsors, and other senior stakeholders to address complex accounting and reporting challenges.
• Evaluate and improve financial close processes, internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting infrastructure.
• Oversee engagement execution, including technical accounting analyses, financial statement reviews, and client deliverables.
• Manage and mentor engagement teams, providing technical guidance and supporting the development of junior professionals.
• Build and maintain client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business.
• Collaborate with colleagues across investment banking, valuation, restructuring, and other advisory disciplines.

About the Opportunity

Preferred Experience

• Experience advising private equity-backed businesses and financial sponsors.
• Exposure to IPO readiness, SEC reporting, carve-outs, or complex transaction structures.
• Familiarity with SOX, internal controls, accounting systems implementations, and financial reporting process improvements.
• Experience contributing to business development, client relationship management, and practice growth initiatives.
