Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

• Background within a Big Four accounting firm, national accounting/advisory firm, or corporate accounting/controller function.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage buy-side, sell-side, capital raise, and restructuring engagements.
• Serve as the lead professional on select client engagements and accounts.
• Work directly with private equity sponsors, C-suite executives, and finance leadership teams.
• Lead and participate in client meetings, review financial models, analyses, and reporting disclosures.
• Assess and redesign accounting processes, close procedures, and internal controls to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Advise on finance system changes, including chart-of-accounts design and data mapping.
• Develop and present high-quality client deliverables and presentations.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across finance, capital markets, valuation, and restructuring.

Key Responsibilities

As a Vice President, you will:

• Execute and manage buy-side, sell-side, capital raise, and restructuring transaction advisory engagements, as well as non-transaction accounting advisory projects


• Serve as the lead professional on select client engagements and accounts


• Work directly with private equity sponsors, C-suite executives, and finance leadership teams


• Lead and participate in client meetings, reviewing financial models, technical accounting analyses, financial reporting disclosures, and close/reporting processes


• Assess and redesign accounting processes, financial close procedures, and internal controls to improve reporting accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness


• Advise clients on accounting considerations related to finance system changes, including chart-of-accounts design, GL/data mapping, and reporting requirements


• Develop and present high‑quality client deliverables and presentations


• Manage and mentor junior team members, including Associates and Analysts


• Collaborate with colleagues across corporate finance, capital markets, valuation, and restructuring


• Support business development, marketing, and broader practice‑growth initiatives


• Build relationships with prospective clients and contribute to revenue‑generating opportunities

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• Active CPA certification or international CPA equivalent required


• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience


• Experience in transaction accounting advisory, accounting and financial reporting advisory, controllership, or corporate accounting operations


• Background within a Big Four accounting firm, national accounting/advisory firm, or corporate accounting/controller function

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing accounting and financial reporting advisory or transaction‑related services


• Experience improving accounting close processes, internal controls, or financial reporting infrastructure


• Strong understanding of M&A and capital markets concepts


• Current knowledge of U.S. GAAP


• Experience across several of the following areas:


• SEC reporting


• Divestitures and carve‑outs


• IPO readiness and execution


• Purchase accounting


• Pro forma financial reporting


• IFRS/U.S. GAAP conversions


• Financial instruments accounting


• Stock‑based compensation


• Transaction‑related accounting matters


• Familiarity with SOX/internal controls frameworks and remediation of control deficiencies


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills


• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


• Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx or Tableau is a plus
