Job summary

Summit Business Group is seeking a Direct Sales Leader to drive outside sales efforts and lead by example across a designated territory. You will train and mentor others, implement a proven sales process, and gradually assume a hybrid sales/training role within 90 days while building your own client book.

You will manage your schedule in the field, focus on relationships with business owners, assess needs, and present customized supplemental insurance solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of sales experience, preferably in customer-facing or outside sales.
• Ability to design and conduct training cycles, in person and online.
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Genuine passion for helping clients and supporting their well‑being.
• Health & Life licenses or willingness to obtain within 90 days with company support.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to client emails and phone calls.
• Schedule follow-up appointments to assess evolving client needs.
• Participate in calls or meetings with sales team or manager.
• Prospect new businesses, referrals, and existing clients for ongoing service.
• Build and maintain a robust book of business in your territory.
• Collaborate with the sales manager to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
• Develop meaningful relationships with local business owners and decision-makers.
• Set your own working hours and provide weekly schedules to management.
• Balance cold leads with warm leads and follow-ups using provided leads.
