Job summary

Michelman is seeking a Senior Category Specialist for Direct Materials at our Global Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5–7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience is required.
• Experience supporting or leading sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and supplier engagement.
• Experience with cost/value improvement and procurement operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute defined elements of direct category management strategy with autonomy.
• Lead medium to high-complexity sourcing events and supplier evaluations.
• Develop sourcing plans aligned with supply planning and business priorities.
• Ensure procurement activities align with MRP, supply plans, and inventory strategies.
• Monitor raw material market trends and advise on risks.
• Lead supplier relationship management and supplier audits.
• Support new business development and continuity through proactive risk mitigation.
