Goodwin Living in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead the total dining operation for residents, guests and staff, delivering a world-class dining experience with strategic direction, hospitality, and strong governance.

The role requires five years of leadership in upscale dining, a relevant bachelor's degree, ServSafe, and proficiency in Excel. You will mentor teams, plan menus with a RD, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience leading large food service operations in upscale environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in food service management, hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience measuring customer satisfaction and driving service improvements.
• Thorough knowledge of dining service operations, supervision, and relevant regulations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development能力.

Responsibilities

• Lead the total dining operation including resident relations, dining quality, cost controls, staffing and safety.
• Ensure hospitality-driven culture with resident choice, personalization, and service excellence.
• Engage residents, families and stakeholders to gather feedback and implement improvements.
• Partner with resident committees and leadership to enhance dining programs.
• Maintain visible presence and conduct service rounds to evaluate satisfaction.
• Set standards for service quality, hospitality, and presentation across operations.
• Monitor dining satisfaction metrics and implement action plans.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in customer service and operational performance.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, and staff development.
