Job summary

UC Santa Cruz Dining is seeking a Senior Food Service Worker to join the campus kitchen, serveries and dining rooms. Under supervision, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled food preparation, serving, maintenance, and sanitation tasks, with potential to lead a small team.

Budgeted at $26.59/hour, this full-time, year-round position offers benefits, meal allowance and opportunities to contribute to safe, high-quality campus dining while supporting students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in food preparation and general maintenance in a kitchen or dining area.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with co-workers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations in food production, serving and cleaning.
• Set up food service lines, stock and prepare beverages, serve customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and dining areas.
• May supervise a small group of staff and trains others.
