Job summary

Morningside House of Exton in Exton, PA is seeking a Server to support our personal care and memory care community. You will serve meals, help maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment and assist with daily dining operations.

The role offers a 7am-3pm schedule on weekdays, competitive hourly pay and benefits, with opportunities for professional growth in a compassionate team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Experience in kitchen, restaurant, senior living or healthcare preferred.
• Commitment to safe, sanitary food service practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and visually appealing.
• Assist in serving meals on a timely basis and per guidelines.
• Maintain portion control and cleanliness of dining areas.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and food prep as needed.
• Keep work areas and utensils clean and properly stored.
• Support cooks and manage dining room service as instructed.

Server - Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.

• Server assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.

• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.

• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.

• Sweep and mop floors as directed.

• Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash area.

• Server returns clean utensils to proper storage areas.

• Wash and clean utensils as directed.

• Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.

• Assist cook in preparing meals.

• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.

• Obtain food supplies for next meal.

• Serve food in dining room as instructed.

• Server performs dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.

• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.

• Performs all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards.

• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Server - Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, senior living, or healthcare field preferred.
