Job summary

Morningside House of Exton in Exton, PA, is seeking a Server to join our senior living community. The role offers a daytime schedule (7am-3pm Mon-Fri) with a starting pay of $16-$18/hour, depending on experience, plus paid training and benefits.

Responsibilities include serving meals, assisting in meal service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team. We provide 401K match, PTO, tuition reimbursement and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in kitchen, restaurant, senior living, or healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals palatably and with appealing presentation.
• Assist in meal service and on-time delivery.
• Follow portion control procedures and safety standards.
• Assist with daily/ scheduled cleaning and maintenance of work areas.
• Wash and sanitize utensils and keep dining areas clean.

Server - Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.

• Server assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.

• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.

• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.

• Sweep and mop floors as directed.

• Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash area.

• Server returns clean utensils to proper storage areas.

• Wash and clean utensils as directed.

• Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.

• Assist cook in preparing meals.

• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.

• Obtain food supplies for next meal.

• Serve food in dining room as instructed.

• Server performs dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.

• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.

• Performs all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards.

• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Server - Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, senior living, or healthcare field preferred.
