Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Table Captain to supervise dining service and lead special events in our on-site restaurant. You will work closely with the dining room supervisor and servers to deliver a welcoming dining experience for residents, focusing on hospitality, accuracy, and teamwork.

This part-time position requires evening and weekend availability, a high school diploma, English communication, and prior restaurant server experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• 1 year prior Restaurant Server experience with demonstrated knowledge of dining etiquette.
• Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrates leadership skills, a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Servers in the absence of the Dining Room Manager and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Provide attentive and personalized service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Take accurate orders, answer menu questions, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy.
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready.
• Works collaboratively with residents and other departments to plan, coordinate and facilitate special dining events and celebrations.
• Assists the Dining Room Manager with Room Service process.
• Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal.
