Job summary

Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea is seeking a Table Captain to lead dining service and help create a welcoming atmosphere during meals and events. You will work with the dining room team to supervise servers in the absence of the Dining Room Manager and ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes hands-on service, empathy for residents, and collaboration with other departments. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are required, with a commitment to hospitality and resident

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• 1 year prior restaurant server experience with demonstrated knowledge of dining etiquette.
• Must be able to multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrates leadership skills, a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Servers in the absence of the Dining Room Manager and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
• Provide attentive and personalized service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Take accurate orders, answer menu questions, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready
• Works collaboratively with residents and other departments to plan, coordinate and facilitate special dining events and celebrations
• Assists the Dining Room Manager with Room Service process
• Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal
