Job summary

Hilco Global seeks a Diligence Analyst/Associate for its Specialty Finance team in Chicago. The role targets candidates with 4–5 years in audit, assurance, or diligence, focusing on collateral testing, portfolio analysis and report writing.

The position involves leading workstreams, interacting with lenders and borrowers, and translating findings into actionable conclusions for banks, private credit funds and investors. Hybrid work and travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4–5 years of audit, assurance, or diligence experience.
• CPA qualification preferred but not essential.
• Direct field exam, lender due diligence or securitization experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related discipline.
• Strong Excel, data analysis and financial reconciliation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead diligence workstreams within specialty finance and coordinate with lenders and borrowers.
• Review and validate borrower reporting, borrowing base calculations and servicer reports.
• Assess underwriting, servicing, collections, cash management and operational controls.
• Analyze loan/receivable portfolio performance and identify collateral trends.
• Prepare client-facing conclusions, exception summaries and recommendations.
• Manage information requests and day-to-day engagement execution.
• Review analyst work and provide coaching on fieldwork and reporting.
