Job summary

RALLY in Los Angeles, CA (hybrid) is seeking a Digital Web Designer to craft compelling websites and digital experiences for social and political impact. You will manage end-to-end design from concept through handoff, collaborating with strategists, designers, and developers.

The role emphasizes strong visual fundamentals, responsive layouts, WCAG accessibility, SEO awareness, and proactive use of AI tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional experience in web, digital, UI, or interactive design
• Advanced proficiency in Figma with components, Auto Layout, and design systems
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and HTML/CSS concepts (production not required)
• Working knowledge of web accessibility and WCAG principles; foundational SEO understanding
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to navigate feedback professionally
• Curiosity about AI tools to improve efficiency and quality
• Experience collaborating with strategists, designers, developers, and project managers

Responsibilities

• Design websites that are visually compelling and translate client brands into engaging digital experiences
• Develop designs from early visual exploration to high-fidelity execution
• Build organized, scalable Figma files using components, Auto Layout, variables, and design systems
• Create prototypes and interaction examples communicating functionality, responsiveness, and animations
• Prepare developer handoffs and collaborate through implementation and QA across devices
• Support website architecture and UX with sitemaps, navigation, user flows, and information hierarchy
• Design responsive experiences with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser behavior; collaborate with developers
• Apply accessibility best practices and WCAG principles across design and content
• Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and respond to feedback
• Collaborate with strategists, communicators, PMs, designers, and developers throughout processes
• Manage workflow across multiple projects, balancing timelines and budgets
• Contribute to ongoing design and content updates for RALLY’s website
