Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support physics-based emulation and simulation for GM’s North American stamping operations. You will develop high-fidelity virtual environments to replace costly physical trials, reporting to the Project Manager as the primary technical contributor for the digital twin platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate with suppliers, and validate simulation results through PLC/HMI and controls integration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of physics-based simulation experience.
• Experience in manufacturing / stamping environments.
• Proficiency with Ansys, DigiSim, and Process Simulate.
• Experience with virtual commissioning and controls validation.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager in tracking scope, schedule, and issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and plant teams to integrate simulation results.
• Participate in design reviews and virtual commissioning sign-off sessions.
• Communicate findings and open issues to stakeholders.
• Travel to supplier sites and stamping plants as needed.
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity 3D simulation models of stamping lines.
