Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Digital & Systems Engineering to plan, execute and lead teams applying DE and MBSE to space and defense systems. You will guide customers on DE/MBSE methodologies and advise on toolsets for effective system realization and optimization.

Ideal candidates will have extensive MBSE experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with government and internal teams on complex programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
• 12+ years’ experience in systems engineering in two or more technical areas (CONOPs, requirements, architecture, design, analysis).
• Proficiency with MBSE languages (SysML, UAF, LML) and tools (Cameo, Sparx, Rhapsody, GENESYS).
• Knowledge of space system segments and architectures (DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF).
• Strong communication and leadership for DE/MBSE projects.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and analyze CONOPs, architecture and design models using SysML, UAFML, BPMN and other standards.
• Develop model patterns, libraries, and templates for reuse across programs.
• Advise customers on MBSE methods, languages, and toolsets that meet lifecycle use cases.
• Develop and present DE/MBSE concepts, principles, and best practices to customers.
• Create training materials, papers, and presentations on DE/MBSE topics.
• Represent Aerospace in DE/MBSE standards groups and committees.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and tasking for staff.
