We are looking for a board digital marketing expert to join our team to lead out our growth marketing efforts for our partners. We currently maintain marketing retainers for a half-dozen clients and want to expand our skills and capacity to better serve these clients & acquire new ones. These retainers have three facets, all equally important:
- Paid Media Management — create, manage and optimize ad campaigns on Google, Linkedin, Meta, and Microsoft for clients. Optimize to their goals with good ad placements and work with our creative team on making compelling ads, landing pages, etc.
- SEO — working with our development team, lead SEO efforts to increase domain authority over time by optimizing content, advising on technical improvements and leading linkbuilding efforts.
- HubSpot — Working with clients, leverage all the capabilities of HubSpot Marketing Hub, build out email templates, multi-faceted campaigns and automated workflows to nurture their audiences.
This role is the best fit for a expert digital marketing generalist – you don't need to be a deep speciality in any of these areas, but you need to be able to move elastically in these areas, learn quickly, and have the confidence to get improvements done. This is a major builder role — so bring your energy! As the team grows, we’ll get you some more Jr. staffers to delegate too, but you’ll be doing everything to start out.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of client business goals and create digital marketing tactics to support those objectives
- Collaborate and communicate insights, strategies, and results to clients through the lens of their business objectives and priorities
- Review and analyze client sites, marketing platforms and ad campaigns for areas that can be improved and optimized as well as competitive analysis
- Prepare detailed strategy and insight-driven performance reports
- Write powerful calls-to-action to convert visitors and keyword-driven headlines & metadata
- Strategize effective content for blogs, websites, emails, and social media accounts. Delegate writing tasks to the client or to writers on our team.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies
- Collaborate with Developers around site launches and technical SEO
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Strategists to define work and breakdown business goals into specific tasks (tickets in Jira) as well as write official project documentation in Confluence.
Qualifications & Platform Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing
- Good at strategy (can hold your own in a role of clients + account strategists) & excellent at execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be certified in Google Ads, Meta and HubSpot (expired creds are okay, we can update). Ideally also certified in Linkedin, Microsoft and Google Analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of all the major platforms you'll need to use daily.
- Experience building reports with insightful, action-oriented recommendations
- Experience making strategic, agile decisions based on data trends
- Agency experience is preferred
- Able to use basic AI tools to improve your efficiency

Location & Remote Work
- Role is open to anywhere in the USA
- Working while traveling is okay up to 4 weeks/year — just do good work on time
- Must be working from 9am-2pm Pacific Time, other hours are at your discretion
Hiring Process
Our process generally involves 3-4 rounds of interviews; a phone screening, video calls with hiring manager, team members or specialists and CEO. Some of our applicants may be asked to complete a skill-based assessment.
A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results, as a condition of joining the team.
