Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX seeks a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to create cutting-edge sensor and effector products. You will define requirements, develop architectures, perform detailed design and verification, and document work for lifecycle support.

Joint with multidisciplinary teams, you will drive architectures for circuit cards, embedded processors, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces, while mentoring engineers and leading key reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, simulation and/or test experience with digital electronics.
• Experience maturing design concepts to complete validated digital designs.
• Expertise with schematic capture and circuit board layout CAD.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, architectures, and detailed designs for digital electronics.
• Lead design, analysis, test and documentation of circuit card assemblies.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters on layout, SI/PI, and routing.
• Plan and execute integration and verification in labs.
• Provide test support and root-cause investigations.
• Set schedules for circuit card tasks and manage budgets.
• Lead individual designs or small teams with minimal supervision.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge.
