Job summary

Athena Technology Group, Inc. seeks a Forensic Malware Analyst to support cyber operations at Fort Eisenhower, GA. You will perform digital forensic analysis, malware reverse engineering, and threat intel tasks following DC3 guidelines. Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly is required.

Responsibilities include using EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, and developing detailed forensic reports, while supporting cyber hunt initiatives and documenting IOCs and artifacts.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with EnCase, FTK, Autopsy.
• Experience with malware analysis and reverse engineering.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• GCFA or CHFI certification or equivalent.
• Background in mathematics or statistics (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct dead box forensics using tools such as EnCase, FTK, or Autopsy.
• Perform malware analysis on digital media and systems.
• Conduct reverse engineering of malicious code.
• Open and close forensic cases following DC3 guidelines.
• Develop detailed forensic and malware analysis reports.
• Utilize forensic tools including EnCase, FTK, and Autopsy.
• Support cyber threat hunting including development of YARA rules.
• Analyze indicators of compromise (IOCs) and threat artifacts.
