Job summary

Google's Mandiant unit is seeking a Senior Digital Forensics Incident Response Consultant to lead client-facing investigations in Los Angeles or Playa Vista, CA. You will own complex incident response engagements across cloud, endpoint and network sources, guiding teams to containment and remediation.

The role emphasizes developing clear, actionable reports for technical and executive audiences, mentoring consultants, and building repeatable processes and tools to improve investigation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber-Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with network and log forensic analysis, malware triage, and disk/memory forensics on Windows/macOS/Linux.
• Experience leading incident response investigations, analysis, or containment actions.
• Experience with enterprise security architecture and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide incident response, assessment, transformation, managed detection and response services.
• Help organizations detect and respond to threats and reduce business risk during incidents.
• Resolve security incidents including investigation, containment, remediation, and crisis management.
• Assist clients in navigating technical incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage.
• Collaborate with internal and customer teams to investigate and contain incidents.
• Lead client-facing investigations and examine cloud, endpoint, and network evidence.
• Codify attacker TTPs and IOCs; build scripts/tools to enhance investigations.
• Develop and present comprehensive reports for technical and executive audiences.
