Job summary

Raytheon Industry 4.0 - Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) seeks a Software Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy IIoT solutions using Ignition in a manufacturing setting. You will work closely with digital factory engineering, chief engineers, and leadership to deliver end-to-end product lifecycle support and RCCA for hardware and software issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• 5+ years related experience, to include Ignition SCADA development using SQL, Python, C#/.NET, HTML5, JSON.
• Experience with scripting and dashboarding.
• Experience with Azure DevOps services framework or similar Agile Project Management tools.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 concepts – connectivity, data collection, IIoT, systems integration, AI, ML, ISA-95, Pub/Sub.
• Experience with data analytics with skills to process and visualize large data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects involving Ignition application development.
• Contribute to IIoT growth by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms.
• Provide recommendations on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT networks.
• Set communication protocols and network configurations on devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).
• Contribute to major team projects with minimal oversight.
• Analyze large data sets; support digital thread; develop analytics reports and visualization tools.
• Expect Domestic Travel 10% of the time.
