Job summary

Iowa Department of Management (DoM) in Des Moines is seeking a senior ITS5 to manage a statewide portfolio of digital tools and services. You will coordinate grants, budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships while guiding multiple projects from planning through execution.

The role requires advanced knowledge of agile development and strong analytical and communication skills to improve public digital experiences. Hybrid/remote options may apply.

Qualifications

• Degree + three years IT experience in relevant fields.
• Degree in CS/IT-related fields + two years IT experience.
• Five years of full-time work in listed IT domains with optional certs or coursework.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across the enterprise.
• Manage and prioritize multiple high-demand projects with deadlines.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and pivot strategies to maintain progress.
• Oversee the portfolio of digital experience products including grants, budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Lead and coordinate multiple projects from planning through execution.
• Provide leadership, foster teamwork, and solve operational problems.
• Oversee the DX website program and vendor delivery of enhancements.
• Lead the content-strategy team including documentation, communication, and training.
• Analyze organizational problems and develop timely, cost-effective solutions.
• Gather and analyze constituent feedback for user-friendly digital systems.
• Identify production goals, metrics, and performance objectives.
• Conduct independent research on new digital services.
